    Apple’s 2008 Proxy Statement Now Online

    Apple® today announced that its 2008 proxy materials are now available on the web under the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s new Notice and Access rule and can be found at www.apple.com/investor. As a result of the new Notice and Access rule, Apple is able to significantly reduce the environmental impact of producing and delivering printed materials.

    Exciting updates make iPhone, iPod touch even more web savvy

    “This week,” reports Katerine Boehret (allthingsd.com), “I’ve been using an iPhone and iPod touch with” the recent Apple updates installed, “and I must say that both devices are much more useful and fun with these improvements.” In particular, Boehret likes Web clip because they “give these gadgets a new sense of instant gratification.”

    Apple Reports First Quarter Results

    Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2008 first quarter ended December 29, 2007. The Company posted revenue of $9.6 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.58 billion, or $1.76 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $7.1 billion and net quarterly profit of $1 billion, or $1.14 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 34.7 percent, up from 31.2 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 45 percent of the quarter’s revenue.

    Twentieth Century Fox and Apple® today announced Digital Copy for iTunes®, which provides customers who purchase a DVD with an additional Digital Copy of the movie.
